Pensioner gets a £250,000 payout
A pensioner who has been unable to walk after operations on both hips has received £250,000 conpensation
The 67-year-old accepted the offer from Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS trust weeks before his case was due to be heard at court.
The pensioner praised his solicitor Jane McBennet, a partner at Cadmans Solicitors in Broadway Bradford who delt with his case.
He said: "I can't speak highly enough of her, she was so understanding of my injuries.
Mrs McBennett was due to take the case to Dewsbury County Court next month, but the hospital trust offered the out-of-court settlement.
